ALLSTARS GEARING UP FOR 2010

Electricity is in the air as this years Allstar wrestlers and Team Dekalb coaches anxiously await the start of what's expected to be another record setting year! Registration will begin earlier this year in order to expand Team Dekalb's involvement into Folkstyle as well as Freestyle/Greco wrestling.

Registration will start Friday, March 12th at the SWD wrestling building (located behind the school) at 6:30pm. The cost remains the same as last year. Only $150 covers your USA card, team warm-ups, awards and team banquet. Make your decision to become a champion a quick one though. Slots are predicted to fill up as registration expects to exceed 100 wrestlers. Click here for the forms to be completed and turned in with your registration fee.

Team Dekalb, again, has plans to travel out of state to gain exposure and big tournament experience. An intensive camp will also be held this summer free to members of Team Dekalb.

'09 Results

Last year, 2009, saw the wrestling community awestruck by the phenomenon that is Team Dekalb.

The medal count for '09 was simply staggering. There's no way I could keep track but suffice it to say that in our final tournament alone (The Georgia State Games), Team Dekalb walked away with almost 30 gold medals.

Though we have a long way to go, I am pleased that we are looking a lot more aggressive and comfortable on the mat. MANY state champions were shocked by Allstars and this is only the beginning.
